Sunshine Smoothie

Looking for a tasty way to keep your immune system strong and your energy levels high?  Try this immune-supporting smoothie that will load you up with all the vitamins you need for a healthy winter!

·      1 whole orange - navel oranges, which are seedless, are the best oranges to use

·      1 whole banana – I like to put my bananas in the freezer right before they go bad. They are the key to making your smoothie creamy and thick.

·      ½ cup frozen mango chunks - The antioxidant beta-carotene in mango can help lower body fat and regulate blood sugar

·      ½ tsp fresh ginger chopped - If you’re battling chest congestion or aches and pains, ginger needs to be in your pantry.

·      1 tsp lemon juice - Vitamin C in lemons can help boost your immune system and fight infection.

·      1 tsp honey – natures super auntie - antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, antioxidants

·      ½ cup milk – non-dairy (soy, almond, oat), cow, goat

 ·      Garnish with sprigs of mint

Instructions

Combine orange, banana, frozen mango, fresh ginger, lemon juice, honey, and your milk choice in a blender

Blend until all ingredients are fully combined and creamy.  Add more milk if needed.
